I’m a 23-year-old mixed race, queer, introvert living in the bay area trying to solve the perennial millennial mystery- what am I going to do with my life??
A reader and writer since I was little, in high school I discovered journalism and the power of sharing personal stories to make greater change. I wrote an article about rape culture that showed me the power one voice can have. This gave me direction while I attended Emerson College. There I wrote, edited, and designed for numerous publications. After leaving Boston, I tried a few things including designing books, teaching kids journalism, and creating marketing content at a digital publishing start-up, learning new skills and slowly finding myself on the way.
Now I’m back in the bay, finishing my degree in Journalism, and getting back to my roots- elevating the voices of people that need to be heard. Check out my most recent project, Louder than Darkness, to read some amazing stories about people living and thriving with mental illness. I'll be documenting my life, my projects, and my journey to figure shit out on this blog.
Besides all that, my passions include bingeing true crime podcasts, discussing queer theory and the politics of being mixed race in America, debating the cultural impact of the Kardashians (especially Kylie), and spending time with my adorable asshole puppy, Neville.
I haven’t figured out exactly what I want to do with my life quite yet (I’m 23 okay?!?), so I'm always looking for new opportunities to work with creative people, tell impactful stories, and learn new things. Hit me up if you want to talk pop culture politics over coffee, collaborate on a cool project, or just say hi.
